What is SuperSlow?
SuperSlow is a high intensity strength training session that works your muscles to exhaustion. Sessions last about 20-30 minutes and can be done once a week. During a session, a trainer puts you through a series of weights that cover all of your major muscle groups. During these exercises, that are often done in groups of ten, your muscles reach exhaustion followed by a week of rest to allow them to repair and recover. SuperSlow has been used by people of all ages and fitness levels. We work hard at SuperSlow LA to make sure that your program is tailored specifically to your health needs and goals.
Will I lose weight, or do I still need to diet?
With any exercise regimen, if you eat more calories than you burn you will not lose weight, but gain pounds. Only by consuming less calories that we burn will we lose weight. SuperSlow is focused on building strength, core fitness, and muscle tone. By incorporating SuperSlow with a reasonable diet, you will experience results. Muscles burn more calories, so increasing your muscle mass will help you reach your diet goals.
Will I still need to do cardio? How could SuperSlow be enough?
Strength training with SuperSlow increases your cardiovascular efficiency because it strengthens the muscles that your cardiovascular system relies on for support. By using SuperSlow to strengthen your core muscles, you are reducing strain on your heart and lungs, so they can more effectively draw oxygen from your blood. This is especially important for people who have had muscle strain or injuries from aerobic exercise, because SuperSlow helps you build your cardiovascular system without any damaging impact.
